10. Maintenance and Cyber Security Management
Shipboard Maintenance / Inspections:
All maintenance jobs are assigned to specific personnel on board by means of the job descriptions for the Master, Chief Mate / Safety Officer and Chief Engineer.
Maintenance of Critical Equipment:
Critical equipment has been identified by the DPA/CSO. The list will be reviewed annually. The Chief Engineer is responsible for proper maintenance.
Shore based Maintenance / Inspections:
The company will carry out annual inspections. Findings will be discussed with the Master and a time frame for corrective actions will be agreed. Part of these inspections are also the results of the class surveys, flag state inspections as well as the results of the PSC inspections.
Cyber Security:
In our industry Cybersecurity has a huge potential to affect the safety of the crew, vessel, environment, cargo and even ports. Cybersecurity in our company is concerned with data protection of IT systems, ships hardware and sensors and data leak from unauthorised access, manipulation and disruption.
Marlow Offshore Germany adopted Marlow Group’s cybersecurity manual and the applicable procedures for the offshore supply fleet.
All relevant makers manuals shall be available in the working language. The person in charge of maintenance shall have permanent access to the documents.
